Use your PlayStation2 EyeToy as a webcam for your Windows PC!
Did you know that you can use your EyeToy as a webcam for your computer? All you need to do is download and extract the EyeToy drivers (for either the Silver EyeToy or the Black EyeToy), plug your EyeToy into a USB port on your computer, then follow the “add new hardware” wizard to load the driver. Your EyeToy will then work as a high quality webcam (with sound), and can be used for Skype, YouTube, and instant messaging.

Download and extract the drivers for your EyeToy.

The Silver EyeToy and Black EyeToy use different drivers, make sure you get the right one for you EyeToy. Once you’ve downloaded the drivers, extract them to your desktop.

Plug in your EyeToy.

Plug your EyeToy into a USB port on your computer, then follow the “add new hardware” wizard. When asked for a driver, browse to the EyeToy driver folder on your desktop.

That’s it, you’re done!

You can now use your PlayStation2 EyeToy as a high quality webcam (with sound). It works with Skype, YouTube, instant messaging, and much more... have fun!
